Propaganda

“Propaganda”

It’s a critical aspect of the human condition – so many of us disagree with political figures (members of Congress – on the State and Federal levels) televangelists, supervisors, bosses, CEO’s, and in particular – the President of the United States. Yes, it’s a normal aspect of living in any society – however when disagreement festers into propaganda and hate – well – it becomes a disease.

Disagree with the President of the United States and many of you curiously determine that he is no longer a U.S. Citizen.

Yes, the Presidents enviable intent is to make firearms no longer accessible to those who might very well “misuse” that right to “get into mischief” or to vent their outrage at society. And such a declaration or stance transmogrifies into the belief that “his” intent is to take away everyone’s right to bear arms.

Outright exaggerations and propaganda metastasizes into contempt – or at times – even aggression.

And this sad fact of the human condition is also the case with those who are allegedly attempting to emulate – Christ.

What I can’t possibly relate to is how those who consider themselves Godly and/or religiously devout are inclined to permit hatred to eat away at them – to a point in which – God and Godliness – becomes an unobtainable ideal.

Just when are we going to learn to stop permitting our primitive instincts to allow our simple disagreements – to reduce us to to that of the lower animal?

How do “I” contend with such a phenomenon? Well – considering the fact that I’m just a bit on the crazy side – I believe in reverence for all life. I’m an earth-hugging environmentalist. I eschew the consumption of flesh. I do my best to control my libido; To avoid (whenever possible) violence and the emotion of hate – which I endeavor to replace or regulate using reason. Rather than fabricating unsubstantiated rumors, manufacturing propaganda, or exaggerating the facts – I make a concerted effort to counter those I disagree with using words and logic – girded by self-restraint. I do everything within my power to NOT fall victim to irrational thoughts or behavior.

I hope to one day – under the auspice of God – to spread the enticement of humanitarianism.

To engage in largess.

To promote reconciliation.

To soften or ameliorate hate or contempt.

To accomplish the unthinkable – to use logic and reason to bring the atheist or the agnostic to God.

To be at peace with myself, with my family, with my neighbors.

In other words – to one day become:

IN-HUMAN(E)
